Getting Started

Joining a Team

To join your company on UpTop, you must sign up using the specific invite link (e.g. uptop.app/join/...) or QR code provided by your administrator. Signing up without an invite link will leave your account unassigned to a team.

Email Verification

After creating a login, you will be sent a verification email. If you do not see it in your inbox immediately, please check your spam or junk folder!

Manager Approval

Once you submit your profile details, your account enters a waiting room. A manager must approve your account before you can view the team dashboard.

Installing the App

For the best experience, install UpTop directly to your phone's home screen!

  • iOS (Safari): Tap the Share button at the bottom of the screen, then select "Add to Home Screen".
  • Android (Chrome): Tap the Menu button in the top right, then select "Install app" or "Add to Home Screen".

How to Play

The Basics

Your goal is to spread joy and high-five your coworkers! Use the High Five Button on the navigation bar to scan a coworker's QR code!

Keep track of your high fives today on the home screen and see high-five activity on the Five Feed.

Be active every day to build your streak!

You can only high-five someone once per day for points.
Crucial Checklist: Wait until both you and your colleague see the success screen confirmation before scanning another player.

Multipliers & Combos
Multipliers
  • Cross-Department (x1.2): High-five someone outside your team.
  • First of Day (x1.5): Your first high-five every day is special!
  • Management Bonus (x1.3): High-five a manager or leader.
  • Best Friend (x1.2): High-five one of your 5 Best Friends.
  • Mutual Streak (x1.1): Keep the daily momentum going together.
Combos

High-five multiple people within 60 seconds of each other to build a combo. Each person in the combo adds +0.1 to your overall multiplier!

Radar, Missions & Bounties
Radar

Use the Radar to find active players on property (users with active location services or who high-fived in the last 60 minutes) to complete active missions.

Missions

Complete dynamic daily objectives (Regular or Wild) to earn bonus points and level up your standing.

Bounties

Twice a day, someone in your organization will become the bounty target. Targets are revealed at 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM. High-five them to collect points! Value cascades from 500 pts down to 100 pts as more claims are registered.

You can claim a bounty reward even if you have already high-fived that person today (you just won't receive the regular points for the high five itself).

Leaderboard

Compare scores across the company. You can toggle between Individual rankings and Department totals. Stay at the top of the board to win company prizes!

Achievements & Badges

Unlock badges visible directly on your profile page:

  • Achievements: Milestones like reaching 100 total high-fives.
  • Monumental Badges: Rare, custom-designed badges awarded during special organization events.

Profile, Best Friends & Settings

Personalize your experience under Settings, and upload a profile photo directly from your Profile page.

Your 5 Best Friends are automatically calculated based on the people you share the most high fives with—they are not manually configured.
